DRDO Successfully Conducts Salvo Launch of Indigenous Pralay Missiles

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on Wednesday successfully carried out a salvo launch of two indigenous Pralay missiles from the same launcher as part of user evaluation trials.
The tests were conducted at around 10:30 am off the coast of Odisha, under the supervision of scientists and officials from DRDO and the armed forces. According to the Ministry of Defence, both missiles followed the planned trajectories and achieved all mission objectives.
Tracking sensors deployed by the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, confirmed the accuracy and performance of the missiles throughout the flight. The terminal phase events were validated through advanced telemetry systems installed on ships positioned near the designated impact points.
The Pralay missile is a surface-to-surface, short-range, quasi-ballistic missile developed indigenously by DRDO. It is capable of carrying conventional warheads and is designed to enhance India’s conventional strike capabilities with high accuracy and rapid deployment.
The successful salvo launch marks another milestone in India’s indigenous missile development programme and strengthens the country’s defence preparedness.
